She was my friend and companion
Always there for me
It is hard to lose a part of your life
But it was time to go.
Illness took her from us.
She was with us for 21 years.
She didn’t look or act like an old lady defying her 29 years.

Hello! I am Marilee and I am an artist. I do sculplture, plein air paintings, horse paintings, and portraits. I right now I am working on a series of horse paintings. After my Morgan mare died, I started to do the series starting with her portratit as part of the grieving process.
I also wrote the poem for the painting. The painting is not for sale, but I do accept commissions.
